The Civil Aviation Authority Of Nepal(CAAN) has banned Fly Dubai’s country manager and airport manager from entering the airport.
According to the authority, their airport passes were deactivated for spreading misleading news that a bird had struck a Fly Dubai plane on Monday night.
On Monday night, there were reports that the engine of the Fly Dubai plane that was flying from Kathmandu to Dubai caught fire. The authority has taken action to spreading the illusion that the plane was hit by a bird and caught fire.
The CAAN has also suspended its entry pass on charge of spreading false information from Dubai.
The Assistant Spokesperson of CAAN, Gyanendra Bhul, said that the two officials of the FlyDubai are prevented from entering the TIA until the next decision.
Issuing a press note on Tuesday, the CAAN said Nepal Country Manager Binod Abraham and Airport Manager Narayan Pakwan of Flydubai have been barred from entering the airport as the official page of the airlines, without an official conclusion of the authority, stated that the accident occurred due to a bird strike at TIA.
The Flydubai plane that took off from TIA on Monday night with 168 passengers on board had reportedly caught fire in its engine after an explosion in the sky of Koteshwor in Kathmandu.
