Lhakpa Sherpa

Lhakpa Sherpa Founder of Khumbu Excursion, is a Lukla native with over 26 years of experience in Nepalese tourism, is a sustainable tourism entrepreneur. By the age of 14 he began his career with his father as a Porter, He climbed his way up the tourism ladder by transforming himself into a trekking guide. With his years of hard work and dedication, he finally managed to establish himself as a trekking and tour operator in Khumbu Excursion along with his experienced friends.

In a short period, he won success after success in the Nepalese tourism industry. His infectious passion and years of experience in the tourism industry prompted him to create Khumbu Excursion in 2023.

Lhakpa is also an Mountains Climber , He has climbed many peak such as Mera peak, Island peak, Lobuche peak and so on.Lhakpa says that the best part of his job is that he enjoys meeting and spending time with the people from different countries with different culture. Along with mountains he likes to explore them too
He intends to contribute to the protection and preservation of the country’s rich nature and culture for future generations. He holds a strong commitment to encouraging environmentally sustainable techniques and a strong belief in improving the lives of local people through the greatest benefits of tourism. He has mostly specialized in the areas of adventure tourism, rural tourism, cultural tourism.

Mingma D Sherpa

Mingma Sherpa is an experience trekking and climbing guide since when i was 15 year’s old I had started from as porter in beginning. I was born in remote areas of Nepal called (khiji demba rural municipality ward no 9 ) and previous address is okhaldhunga district patle 3 chermading.
I had taken various different routes, treks and hike across all of the Himalayas on solo and group tours. My knowledge of the region is only a reflection on how well i had lived in the region as ever step taken on trek is premeditated and always provides the safest option. Patience and determination is embodied with his trekking package as everyone establishes the pace they can do with me and will never refuse someone a break to catch there breath. I have experienced from the shortest to longest of treks and as well as doing the Treks from Annapurna circuit, Gokyo lakes, Lobuche/ island peak and Mera peak climb, three passes treks and of course to Everest Base Camp Kanchan junga trek / langtang valley gosai kunda / poon hill trek and all around Nepal peak and mountain climbing organiser . I make sure that the provisions are on hand in case the fellow trekker has forgotten or not considered them and I will monitor the trekkers health when it comes to Altitude sickness and heart conditions and stress as that is of his utmost priorities. All in all his trekking agency “khumbu excursion” is a local Nepali business and your support goes 100% to the local region of the Himalayas in Nepal that is in need of such funds (particularly after the 2015 Nepal Earthquake) and at a fair and competitive price. Phurba Geljen Sherpa is a Cheif Operating Officer (COO)and Marketing Head of Khumbu Excursion. He handles business development and administration, implementing strategies to work towards achieving the CEO’s strategic vision for the company. The Vision to inspire, empower and grow our Nepal’s tourism to the next level. Providing ground breaking guides and climbers who are exceptionally passionate and eager to grow. Focusing solely on customer’s satisfaction. He was born and brought up in Khumbu Region. Since his childhood he is constantly meeting various people from different parts of the world, making him understand what truly the global visitors want from our tourism in Nepal

Pemba Sherpa

Miss Pemba Sherpa is a computer handler and thе bасkbоnе оf thе Cоmраnу’s оnlіnе ореrаtіоn. Her jоb іѕ tо еnѕurе thаt thе information tесhnоlоgу іnfrаѕtruсturе and dіgіtаl property оf the соmраnу іѕ fullу ореrаtіоnаl. In addition , she аlѕо еnjоуѕ nature and mountain as she spend her childhood in Lukla . She prefer mountain area rather than crowded city area. Being local from that place she have seen mountain from very early age. She also feel very grateful that she get to meet people from all around the world. She sometimes gеt іnvоlvеd in thе trеkkіng to еnѕurе smooth runnіng .

Gelmu Sherpa

Miss Gelmu Sherpa is our esteemed female trekking leader/guide. She will go out of her way to keep our clients, happy, safe and enable to them to make beautiful memories. She is a qualified guide trained by Ministry of Tourism with more than 5 years of experience in this ground. She has completed English language course, first aid training and altitude sickness training. One can expect her to confidently point out the famous mountains, landmarks and of course, dangers. She loves to trek, travel and make friends. She is there to keep our clients safe, to fascinate them with tales of local lore and wild adventurers. Needless to say her experience as trekking guide since 5 years involves fun, adventures, friendships and memories with strangers.
In addition ,she  have already climbed peak such as Island peak when she was just 18 years old.
