The Everest Panorama Trek is a well-known stunning trekking route that takes hikers through the appealing Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal. Placed just few days apart from the capital city, this trek offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks, making it a must-do for any adventure seeker.
The moment of your life time, witnessing the magic of smiling Everest just after childish sun kissing, is a feeling of heaven for any enthusiast. The main highlights of the trek is the opportunity to see Mount Everest up close. While the trek does not take hikers all the way to the base camp of the mountain, it does offer breathtaking views of the peak from various vantage points along the route. Hikers will also have the opportunity to see other famous peaks, such as Lhotse, Nuptse, and AmaDablam, as they make their way through the region.
In addition to the stunning mountain scenery, the Everest Panorama Trek also offers hikers the chance to experience the culture and way of life of the local Sherpa people. Along the way, hikers will pass through small villages where they can interact with the friendly locals and learn about their traditional way of life.
The very beginning of the day your journey through air will march from Kathmandu to Lukla and then you begin your Everest panorama trek towards the top of the hill to Sherpa capital of Namche through blooming colors of Sherpa village, Buddhist Monasteries, Chorten and Sagarmatha national park with various species of wild birds and animals including flora and fauna.
Everest panorama Trek is one of the pleasure trekking trails in Everest region offers the magnificent panoramic views of Himalayas very close within a short time. Everest Panorama trekking is temperately easy walking route compared to few of other trekking assortment in Everest.
The Amadablam base camp Trek will passes through Sagarmatha National Park which is famous dwelling place for different species of wild animals and birds. This short but delightful Everest view trek is a pleasant walking that provides a glorious spectacular views of mighty Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, AmaDablam and other several snow capped Himalayan peaks.
During the trekking you will get a great opportunity to experience the lifestyle of culturally rich Sherpa people and their helpful nature that possess an outstanding skill of climbing the mighty mountains. The elderly people are also able to join this trek with no past experience.
Important Notes for Everest Panaroma Trek
- Flights to the Everest Region now depart from Ramechhap airport due to congestion at the Kathmandu airport. Ramechhap is several hours’ drive from Kathmandu, so we leave Kathmandu at 1 am to reach there for the early morning flights. There are no day or evening flights due to the high winds in the mountains in the afternoons.
- Flights can be delayed or canceled due to bad weather. We recommend you build in a 2 or 3-night contingency plan. That means do not book your international flight for Tuesday if your planned flight from Lukla is on Monday. Best to book it on Thursday or Friday.
- If you wish to take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, there will be an additional charge of around $250 to $300.
- There is no additional fee for the package rate for solo travellers. However, if you are travelling alone and wish for a single room, please add on the single supplement during checkout.
- Porters can only carry 20kg. So please pack lightly. We will provide you with a bag/duffle bag that is easy for porters to carry.
- Airlines have a weight limit of 15kg per person. Any excess can be paid at the airline counter at the airport. Note that this is only possible if the flight is not overweight already. Again, please pack lightly.
- Please provide us with a copy of your passport at the booking stage, as we require this for domestic flight booking.
- Meals on the trek are included in the price. This does not include hot or cold drinks, alcohol, or extra snacks. In Kathmandu, breakfast is included, but not lunch or dinner.
- There are extra expenses for hot showers ($3 to $5) and charging your battery ($1 to $3).
- You can buy a wifi card in Lukla or Namche Bazaar for $25. 10 or 20 GB of data are provided for use over 30 days in the Everest Region. We cannot guarantee the wifi quality – it will depend on the weather and location.
- Weather can change dramatically and quickly in the mountains, so please bear with us if there are delays. Please follow the advice of your guide if he needs to change the itinerary in any way due to the weather.
- Drones are not permitted unless you have a special permit to fly them in the Everest Region. This is because there are many unscheduled helicopter flights in the sky. It is tricky to obtain permission, so leave it home unless you need a drone.

Itinerary of Everest Panaroma Trek
Day1:- Landing on Tribhuwan International Airport:-
You will be welcomed by our staff guide at Tribhuwan International Airport arrival section and taken to hotel on a private car. After you check in your hotels, you will have some meal and began your exploration of Kathmandu Valley.
Day 2: Explore Kathmandu Valley
It’s your second day in Nepal where you will be visiting the capital city before the beginning of the trek. Kathmandu is historically and culturally well decorated capital city. This place is generally a valley surrounded by large greenery hills and mountains. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most visited religious sites in Nepal. Starting from Swayambhunath to Patan Durbar square, we will visit and prepare everything required for the Everest Panoramic trek.
Day 3 : Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and hiking to Phakding
It’s the time to fly to Lukla . Taking the adventurous breathe-taking flight and enjoying the once upone a life time scenery, we reach Lukla holding our nerves. The flight lasts 30-45 minutes where you will find 90% international tourists.
After successfully landing on Lukla airport we hike about 3 hours covering 8.2 km to reach Phakding. Phakding is the popular stop for the hikers heading to the Khumbu region. Phakding lies in the valley of Dudh-Koshi river at an altitude of 2620 m.
Day 4 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
It’s the day four of your journey. It’s the busy day at the trek where you will be covering the distance of 9.4 Kilometers with the elevation gain of more than 800m. It will certainly take 5-6 hours of continuous hike. For a normal guy hiking 6 hours on such a mountaineering trail is enough to take your breathe.
Passing the upper ‘new suspension bridge’ we see a beautiful town in a valley covered with snowy peak which is our ultimate destination for the day which is “Namche Bazar”. You will notice that the main occupation of the villagers around the hilly and Himalayan region is tourism.
When you just reach Namche, you can have the first glimpse of Mt. Everest. Namche Bazar is also called as the gateway to the top of the world.
Day 5:- Acclimatization at Namche Bazar
Just imagine a busy town just beneath the world’s highest peak. The panoramic wide view of Namche Bazar is like dream settlement. In the way to Namche market, you will notice different gumbas which resembles the Buddhism civilization of Sherpa community.
Namche bazar covers the ancient Sherpa history in the field of mountaineering. It is said that Sherpa people are born climbers and they are brave enough to tackle each and every obstacles during Everest summit.
You will also have traditional food of Sherpa along with an opportunity to be involved in their practices. The fresh yogurt from Yak is the energy drink popular in this region.
Day 6 : Trek from Namche to Tengboche:-
It’s a beautiful morning, we head towards Tengboche enjoying the beautiful mountain peaks around us. It’s a life time marking moment witnessing the heaven of snow all around you. Our route will be heading towards Sanasa and Fungethaga. The wide view of AmaDablam, Thamserku, Gokyo RI and Island peak will motivate your tired legs to reach your ultimate destination. In Tengboche, there is a popular Monastery which is the only monastery at such height in the world.
Climbing listening the chirping sound of birds in a raw natural atmosphere, we go through beautiful Sanasa Village. You will spot may Sherpa community living in this village following Tengboche.
Tengboche is a very popular religious tourism destination which comprises an ancient Sherpa life and their historical entities. Tengboche is said to be only place with large history in the entire Solukhumbu region. The major highlights of the Tengboche village is its Tengboche Monastery which is one of the biggest in the entire Khumbu region.
Day 7: Trek to Khumjung Sherpa village
Khumjung is a village in the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal. It is located in the foothills of Mount Everest and is home to the famous Khumjung Monastery, also known as the Hillary Monastery, which was built by Sir Edmund Hillary in the 1960s. The village and its surrounding areas are known for their natural beauty, including stunning mountain views and lush forests. The region is also inhabited by the Sherpa people, who are known for their rich cultural heritage and traditions. In addition to being a popular tourist destination, Khumjung is also an important center of Buddhism in the region and attracts many pilgrims.
The distance between Tengboche and Khumjung is approximately 5 km and takes about 2-3 hours to cover on foot. This route passes through beautiful forests and offers views of the surrounding mountains. The interesting part of the trek and the village is that you will be one of the first to observe the skull of Yeti which the local people have preserved.
This is the last destination where we will be observing the tremendous live view of the world’s highest peak along with different other peaks in the Everest region. From here we will be descending towards Phakding on the very next day.
Day 8: Trek Back to Phakding
Taking the joy of stunning mountain views and cultural practices, we will cover the distance of 22.6 Kilometers. This will be one of the most busiest day as we will descending through the hills and terrains covering twenty two long kilometers to reach Phakding.Observing the famous Khumbu glacier, as well as several peaks, including Thamserku and KusumKanguru, we return back through the villages of the Khumbu region.
We will say bye to Tengboche and Namche bazar following the bank of DudhKoshiriver. Hiking about 6-8 long hours and keeping all the promises in mind, we reach Phakding.
As the trek progresses, the trail gradually descends and reaches the village of Phakding. Phakding is a charming village known for its hospitality and peaceful atmosphere. It is also an important stopover for trekkers heading to the higher regions of the Solu-Khumbu region, such as Namche Bazaar and Everest.
Day 9:- Phakding to Lukla:-
We will be hiking about few hours until we reach Lukla. We will acclimatize in this day to ensure the rest to our body. The beautiful Lukla guest houses are properly well built and managed with all the luxurious facilities available there.
Day 10:- Lukla to Kathmandu via flight
Taking the joy of aerial view of mountain range from the flight, we will land in Kathmandu.
Day 11:- Acclimatize at Kathmandu valley
Its time to visit some historical and religious sites before we wrap up the trip to Nepal. You may have some Newari food exploring the busy market. Our staff will be guiding you all the time even in Kathmandu Valley for your comfortness.
Day 12:- Tribhuwan International Airport to your Home country
We will thank you with a token of Love as our gift for taking Nepal as your preferred destination. We will leave you in the Departure section in the international airport.
