Everest base camp is a wizard of the incredible creation of nature situated on the spiritual land of heaven in the eastern part of Nepal. Nestled by the stunning island of snow and mountains, the base camp is commonly regarded as the beginning of a lifetime mountaineering journey for many aspiring climbers who hope to conquer the World’s highest peak. Just have thought about the adventurous climb to Mt. Lobuche that requires a lot of homework to justify your ability in the field of mountaineering.
The best part of the journey is you will be experiencing all your mountaineering fantasies, first with the live view of the World’s highest peak and then climbing Lobuche peak, which stands tall at a massive height of 6119 m.
The journey is a challenging but rewarding experience that includes several days of hiking through the craggy and remote region where no technology exists. The trek begins in the crowded capital city of Kathmandu, where hikers can prepare themselves for the high altitude and stock up on supplies before setting off on their journey.
The journey:-
From Kathmandu, hikers will take a small duration 30, minutes flight to the dangerous airport town of Lukla, which serves as the gateway to the Khumbu region. From there, the trek begins as hikers follow a well-marked trail that winds through dense forests, small villages, and over high passes. Along the way, hikers will be treated to mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic peaks of Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
This journey will be a big exam against the breathtaking weather that will test your limit of dedication to life. The journey is relatively easy for a true enthusiast, as the success rate of this trek is almost 80%.
Important Notes for Everest Base Camp with Lobuche peak climbing
- Flights to the Everest Region now depart from Ramechhap airport due to congestion at the Kathmandu airport. Ramechhap is several hours’ drive from Kathmandu, so we leave Kathmandu at 1 am to reach there for the early morning flights. There are no day or evening flights due to the high winds in the mountains in the afternoons.
- Flights can be delayed or canceled due to bad weather. We recommend you build in a 2 or 3-night contingency plan. That means do not book your international flight for Tuesday if your planned flight from Lukla is on Monday. Best to book it on Thursday or Friday.
- If you wish to take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, there will be an additional charge of around $250 to $300.
- There is no additional fee for the package rate for solo travellers. However, if you are travelling alone and wish for a single room, please add on the single supplement during checkout.
- Porters can only carry 20kg. So please pack lightly. We will provide you with a bag/duffle bag that is easy for porters to carry.
- Airlines have a weight limit of 15kg per person. Any excess can be paid at the airline counter at the airport. Note that this is only possible if the flight is not overweight already. Again, please pack lightly.
- Please provide us with a copy of your passport at the booking stage, as we require this for domestic flight booking.
- Meals on the trek are included in the price. This does not include hot or cold drinks, alcohol, or extra snacks. In Kathmandu, breakfast is included, but not lunch or dinner.
- There are extra expenses for hot showers ($3 to $5) and charging your battery ($1 to $3).
- You can buy a wifi card in Lukla or Namche Bazaar for $25. 10 or 20 GB of data are provided for use over 30 days in the Everest Region. We cannot guarantee the wifi quality – it will depend on the weather and location.
- Weather can change dramatically and quickly in the mountains, so please bear with us if there are delays.
- Please follow the advice of your guide if he needs to change the itinerary in any way due to the weather.
- Drones are not permitted unless you have a special permit to fly them in the Everest Region. This is because there are many unscheduled helicopter flights in the sky. It is tricky to obtain permission, so leave it home unless you need a drone.

Itinerary of Everest Base Camp with Lobuche peak climbing
Day 1:- Arrival at Kathmandu
On the very first day, you will be welcomed by our team at Tribhuwan International Airport. We will take you to the hotels in our private vehicle. We will serve you some Thakali Nepali food in the hotel as Dinner. As promised, we will also guide you to the Kathmandu valley casual visit.
Day 2:- Preparation of Trek
It’s Day 2 of your Nepal visit. Today, you will prepare everything for Trekking, including all your materials, medicines, clothes, etc. You will physically and mentally prepare for the Hike on this day.
Day 3: Flight to Lukla and Hike to Phakding
The following day, we will take a direct flight from Kathmandu to the World’s most dangerous airport, i.e., Lukla Airport. After landing in Lukla, we will hike the short stone trails through the beautiful Lukla village and houses. The smiling sun following you will make you feel energetic and more vibrant toward the destination.
The Hike will be around 3-4 hours covering about 8 Km with an increasing elevation of 200 meters. Phakding is the main stop point for trekkers who trek through the Everest region. The beautiful Phakding village contains many homestay and lodges services. Almost 80% of the houses in Phakding run homestay services.
Day 4:- Phakding to Namche Bazar:-
Passing through the greenery landscapes on a sunny day on the fourth day of your trek, you will gain a massive altitude of 800 m covering 11 Km, which will take 5-6 hours of straight Hike. Enjoying the journey of your lifetime, you will notice the critical atmosphere troubling the wildlife. The positive vibes created by the Himalayan atmosphere will motivate you to take your foot toward your dream destination.
Namche Bazar is known as ‘Sherpa Town’ as it holds a brave Sherpa history in mountaineering. In other words, Namche has preserved Sherpa culture and ancient traditions. From Namche, the view of Mt. Everest will be much more transparent and visible. The wide stance of Mt. Everest and other mountain range with Namche Town looks like a city in heaven.
Day 5:- Explore Namche Bazar
Namche Bazar is famous for selling fresh Yak Yogurt as an energy drink in the Himalayas. The community of Sherpa is very hospitable, with lots of kind souls. The beautiful Sherpa practices will amaze you. Exploring a town in heaven of a white peak is just a magical moment.
Day 6: Namche to Tengboche
The Hike takes almost 5-6 Hours, covering 9.6 Kilometers with a gaining altitude of 400 m. The sixth day will be very tough as the long routes (mainly due to the rocky surface). Just after acclimatization at Namche, we head towards a village with lots of Buddhist importance, i.e., Tengboche, situated at 3860 m. There is a World famous Tengboche Monasteries that serves as a destination for tourists who flex around this area.
Day 7: Tengboche to Dingboche
Dingboche is a small village on the lap of greenery hills that lies at a massive altitude of 4410m. The trail from Tengboche to Dingboche is slightly easy compared to the earlier day, but the altitude gain is 600 m. We head to Dingboche to enjoy the view of Mt. Amadavlam and Mt. Lhotse. The Hike will last 6 hours, and we will be walking 10.5 km on the trails of the green village.
Day 8: Acclimatize in Dingboche
Today is the day to explore the raw beauty of Dingboche, hiking for about 6 hours to reach an altitude of 5100 m. The stunning view of Chhukung valley from Nagerjun (5100m) heals all your tiredness.
To get the live view of Lobuche East (6119 m), Lobuche West (6145 m), Taboche Peak (6367 m), Thamserku (6608 m), and many other whitish peaks, including Kangtega (6856 m) and Ama Dablam (6856 m), we hike about 5 hours. On a clear sunny day, we can even witness Mt. Makalu, located at Mahalangur, the fifth-highest mountain in the World, standing at 8481 m. For this day, we will rest in a homestay of Dingboche.
Day 9: Dingboche to Lobuche
Passing through the Pheriche, situated at 4240 m through the broad valley, we will gain some altitude to reach the beautiful village of Lobuche, located at 4910 m. The Hike will undoubtedly take 6 hours to get 800 meters.
Lobuche peak contains two summits officially known as Lobuche East and Lobuche West. After walking through long routes, we will find something to be cheerful about, i.e., Lobuche Village. This village is an overnight stay for every trekker who treks through the Khumbu region.
Day 10: Hike to Everest Base Camp (5160 m) and return to Gorakshep
The 10th day of our journey will be the most memorable as today we will hike to the foot of the World’s highest peak Mt. Everest. Hiking in the home of snow, we gain some altitude through Gorakshep and reach EBC. In the base camp area, many tents are made for the acclimatization purpose of climbers. The live view of the World’s highest peak will take you a breather.
Never stopping Khumbu Glacier will teach you the process of life to never look back. After spending almost 3-4 Hours, return to Gorakshep for lodging purposes.
Day 11: Hiking to Kalapatthar (5545 m) and trek down to Lobuche
On the following day, before the sun rises, we head towards Kalapatthar, where we will witness the rising childish sun. Kalapatthar is a perfect viewpoint of the World’s highest mountain range in a single comprehensive view. Kalapatthar offers a CCTV camera at the World’s highest point. It is used to study the geographical change in the surface of Mt. Everest.
After making our morning awesome, we returned to Gorakshep to have some lunch and again started our Hike back to Lobuche. You will have a gut feeling that Lobuche is waiting for your arrival. After descending for 5-6 hours, we will reach Lobuche village.
Day 12: Hike to Lobuche High Base Camp
Early in the morning, just after having breakfast, we begin our Hike towards Lobuche High camp, which will take 4-5 long hours. After reaching the at the high camp, we will prepare to climb Mt. Lobuche. We will train so that the obstacles during the climb will be fine for you.
Day 13: Climb to Lobuche Peak and return to base camp
After having our dinner at high camp, it’s show time. Around 12 am at night we will slowly go through the problematic snowy trails very gently. Using some mountaineering skills you learned the previous day; we will climb, holding our breath.
The climb is fun for many enthusiasts, but for most beginners, the obstacles seem extreme. But having belief in one’s ability, you can climb the 6119 m Lobuche East in no time.
The breathtaking view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Damlam, Mt. Cholatse, and many more ranges will be a lifetime remembering scenery. After the safe summit of Lobuche peak, we return to Base camp on the same day.
Day 14: Lobuche base camp to Pangboche
The weather in the Lobuche peak area is unpredictable. However, considering everything went well, we headed back to Pangboche village to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Lobuche area for the last time. Hiking continuously for about 5-6 hours, we descend to 4000 m Pangboche village. It will be a sense of relaxation about the significant problem of altitude sickness.
The route of the Pangboche is exceptionally well-built and easy to descend. We can easily walk through the stairs-like trails made of stones and mud. Enjoying the greenery village and pure form of nature, we head towards Pangboche for acclimatization.
Day 15: Hike from Pangboche to Namche Bazzar
The Fifteenth day of our journey will begin after vibrant sunshine and passing through the traditional small gumbas. Dudh Koshi river will be following us throughout the Hike until Lukla. However, for this day, we will hike until we reach Namche Bazar.
Day 16: Namche Bazar to Lukla
The Hike will be easy as compared to the previous days. Clicking selfies with your happy face, we hike around 7 hours to Lukla, the final trekking spot. We will end our Hike for the journey in Lukla. We will fly through Lukla airport to Kathmandu on the very next day.
Day 17: Lukla to Kathmandu
The next day, we will fly back to the capital city. The 17th day will be a resting day to heal all our tiredness due to 16 days of continuous Hike.
Day 18: Exploring Kathmandu Valley
On the 18th of your journey to Nepal, you will explore historic sites and tourist areas, including traditional sites. Today is the day to extend your visa if you wish to stay longer.
Day 19: Fly Back to your home country
We will leave you to the Departure of Tribhuwan International airport with some token of love from our company. We want to thank you for your visit to Nepal.

Essential Information - Everest Base Camp with Lobuche peak climbing
Lobuche is considered one of Nepal’s most influential and adventurous destinations, situated at the south side of the World’s highest peak. The Lobuche trekking circuit consists of two summits referred to as Lobuche east and Lobuche west, where the east side stands at an altitude of 6119 m and the west side at 6145 m.
Best season to Climb Lobuche:-
Lobuche is generally offered from April to May and from September to November. During these months, the weather will remain dry and stable, making the Hike much more friendly and accessible. However, many trekkers trek during the winter months fighting with extreme weather as the temperature will go under minus, resulting in unpredictable routes.
Preparation required:-
Any peak above 6000 meters is very challenging in altitude and routes. To attempt Mt. Lobuche, you need to be in the good physical condition and may also require some previous mountaineering experience. The courses demand technical aspects and climbing skills.
However, even if you are a beginner, you can get a permit from the Nepal government, but you need to take some medical aid with you during the climb. To survive at 6000 m altitude, you must acclimate to that atmospheric condition.
Routes to Lobuche Peak:-
Several routes are available according to your ability to hike, from challenging to moderate difficulty. The main trail begins from Lobuche Base Camp containing big rocks and snowy areas. It would help if you had a climbing permit from Nepal Mountaineering Association in Kathmandu to go through the mountains.
