Gokyo is a peaceful and less crowded valley at an altitude of 4750 m that may meet your fantasies of extreme adventure. The trekking routes for the Gokyo valley trek are halfway the same as the EBC trek, where we take a flight to Lukla and tour Namche Bazar via Phakding. Namche Bazar is where the routes are divided into EBC trek routes and Gokyo Valley trek.

Gokyo is the ultimate trekking destination that offers an uncountable expedition of village and mountain life. If you are looking for a very well-decorated, adventurous trek on a limited budget, this trekking package may fulfill your dream.

Exploring the undescribable Tamang and Sherpa villages at Machermo, walking through the bank of DudhKoshiriver, and crossing the famous Ngozumpa Glacier, we head towards Gokyo Valley with immense excitement and eagerness to fulfill the desire to witness gigantic mountains.

The beautiful Gokyo village is situated at the massive 4750 m altitude in a well-managed order. The wildlife, vegetation, and civilization in the region are well-managed. You will feel like you are in heaven and the houses in the village are the houses of gods.

The trek will remind you how difficult life is in that harsh environment. Humans trekking in those problematic tracks brought all the necessary required foods and lodging materials here. The people here barely understand English, so it would be easy for you to hire a Nepalese guide who can take you to the destination quite comfortably.

Trekking back to Dhole and returning to Lukla via Namche Bazar is how the incredible hike of your life ends.

This article will give you everything you need to know before trekking in Gokyo valley.

The greenery and vegetation on such a rigid geographical structure will definitely amaze you. On the way, you will find many hotels in the span of 4-8 kilometers until Namche Bazar.

The raw beauty of hills beyond the great Himalayas will spread positive vibes to start your day. During the trek, you will observe Buddhist carved stones and small pilgrims in many places, which reflects the settlement of the Buddhist religious community.

The routes are mainly like stairs made up of stone and Himalayan mud. You will cross through wood made a bridge to cross the small river most of the time. It will be the rollercoaster moment for every trekker to hike along the beautiful terrains and jungles.

Hiking 3-4 straight hours, we will reach Phakding, where we will spend the night. We could trek 5-6 hours to Namche Bazar, but hiking too much for an average person will eventually suffer a lot. There is some homestay where we will have our meals at night.
