Overview of Everest Three Passes Trek

Everest Three Passes Trek

Mountaineering Trek is the ultimate adventurous hike for any Trekkers. Walking above the frozen lake and glacier on the breathtaking edge of the mountain offers lots of focus, dedication, and stamina. Three Passes trek offers mountaineering expeditions and the close observation of snowy wildlife, priceless herbs, and the evolution of life through a beautiful creation of nature.

The Everest three passes trek is the most adventurous trek that drives you to every edge of the Everest region. You will be one of the luckiest people to see how Mt Everest has stood tall for hundreds and thousands of years. The trek itself is a considerable research and analysis of the natural structure.

Suffering from the harsh windy snowfall and landslides and preparing a thesis about the geo-physical structure of Mt Everest is a significant degree. The audacity of exploring flora and fauna on the way always be in your mind.

Most of the three-pass trek routes still need to be explored due to high passes, which is one of the adventurous things to do. The scenery of the whitish mountain range looks like a VFX-created world. During Mid-days, the sun’s heat leads snow to melt and flow in the form of glaciers which is one of the fascinating things during the trek.

During the trek, you will notice that Mt Everest is connected to lots of other giant mountains like Lhotse (8516 m), AmaDablam (6812 m), Makalu (8516,m) and many others.

Sagarmatha National Park

The trek corresponds to Sagarmatha National Park, which has an area of 1148 sq. km. Sagarmatha National Park is an inhabitant of more than 208 Species of Birds and scarce mammals like musk Deer, Snow leopards, Red Panda, Himalayan Black bears, and many others.
The greenery and beautiful Himalayan flowers at a massive altitude of 5,750 m may surprise you.

Important Notes for Everest Three Pass Trek

  1. Flights to the Everest Region now depart from Ramechhap airport due to congestion at the Kathmandu airport. Ramechhap is several hours’ drive from Kathmandu, so we leave Kathmandu at 1 am to reach there for the early morning flights. There are no day or evening flights due to the high winds in the mountains in the afternoons.
  2. Flights can be delayed or canceled due to bad weather. We recommend you build in a 2 or 3-night contingency plan. That means do not book your international flight for Tuesday if your planned flight from Lukla is on Monday. Best to book it on Thursday or Friday.
  3. If you wish to take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, there will be an additional charge of around $250 to $300.
  4. There is no additional fee for the package rate for solo travellers. However, if you are travelling alone and wish for a single room, please add on the single supplement during checkout.
  5. Porters can only carry 20kg. So please pack lightly. We will provide you with a bag/duffle bag that is easy for porters to carry.
  6. Airlines have a weight limit of 15kg per person. Any excess can be paid at the airline counter at the airport. Note that this is only possible if the flight is not overweight already. Again, please pack lightly.
  7. Please provide us with a copy of your passport at the booking stage, as we require this for domestic flight booking.
  8. Meals on the trek are included in the price. This does not include hot or cold drinks, alcohol, or extra snacks. In Kathmandu, breakfast is included, but not lunch or dinner.
  9. There are extra expenses for hot showers ($3 to $5) and charging your battery ($1 to $3).
  10. You can buy a wifi card in Lukla or Namche Bazaar for $25. 10 or 20 GB of data are provided for use over 30 days in the Everest Region. We cannot guarantee the wifi quality – it will depend on the weather and location.
  11. Weather can change dramatically and quickly in the mountains, so please bear with us if there are delays.
  12. Please follow the advice of your guide if he needs to change the itinerary in any way due to the weather.
  13. Drones are not permitted unless you have a special permit to fly them in the Everest Region. This is because there are many unscheduled helicopter flights in the sky. It is tricky to obtain permission, so leave it home unless you need a drone.
  14. Remember your insurance!
  15. Most of all – enjoy your amazing adventure!

Trekking Checklist Trekking to Everest Three pass trek

Why are three passes trek memorable?

Three passes trek is where you would not only reach the Everest Base Camp but also pass through the three highest passes in the Khumbu region. The three passes in the Khumbu region are Kongma La Pass (5535m), Cho La Pass (5420m), and Renjo La Pass.

Walking on the laps of giant peaks is itself a man of the moment. It requires hard work and self-belief to fight with terrible minus-degree temperatures and challenging geographical structures.
