Itinerary of Manaslu Circuit Trek with Larka La Pass

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will land at Tribhuwan international airport in the capital city of Nepal. We will be waiting for you with a bookie at the arrival section of the airport. We will take you to your respective hotel in our private car.

After having pure Nepali Thakali food in the hotel. One of our staff will guide you to sites in the valley. You will enjoy the beautiful Kathmandu valley life by trying Newari foods. You will also be taken to the historical and religious sites that are listed in UNICEF World Heritage Sites including Changunarayan Temple.

Day 2: Exploring Kathmandu

We will continue to visit one of the most popular Hindu religious destinations in the World, Pashupatinath Temple. It is said that once Kathmandu valley was filled with water and a foreign traveler Manjushree came and drained all the water after that gradually this city flourished.

Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Changunarayan temple, Buddha Stupa, Chandragiri Hills, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are the major highlights of the Kathmandu tourist area.

Day 3: Preparation for the trek

Today is your final day at Kathmandu before trekking. So you need to pack your bags including all your requirements. You may visit the cheap local shops for warm clothes which are most required in the Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Day 4: Bus ride from Kathmandu to Soti Khola

Soti Khola is situated at an altitude of 710 m which is the beginning point of our trek. We will take a bus early in the morning which will take 8-9 long hours to reach Soti Khola.

The mesmerizing journey witnessing the green hills, forests, terrains, and river will begin just after we leave the Kathmandu valley. Observing the life of a common Nepalese in the Himalayas, we will reach Arughat. After that, we head to Soti Khola where we will be staying the night.

Day 5: Hike from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola

Early in the morning at Soti Khola local tea house, after having a meal, we will head on our journey to Maccha Khola. Maccha Khola stands at an elevation of 900 m from the sea level.

We will hike about 6-7 long hours covering 10 km of trails. We will pass by several forests and waterfalls crossing Armala, Apubbesi, Liding, and Khani Besi villages settling in this area.

Washing the sin with the pure transparent water of the Budhi Gandhaki river, we cross the rocky surfaced terrain. Finally, after hours of hike, we reach Macha Khola which is the ending spot for the day.

Day 6: Maccha Khola to Jagat

After having a well-deserved rest at a local homestay, we will be forwarding our journey to Jagat which is placed at a height of 1410 m. The hike for today will be slightly longer than the previous day with 6-7 hours of walking on the mountain surface.

We will be exploring popular places like Tatopani, Dovan, Duman, and Thado Bhanjyan on this day. Now, the trail will be slightly harder inclined as we will be passing through a highly risky landslide area.

Walking on this route can provide you with a beautiful landscape view of Ganesh Himal. After a few minutes of a hike from there, we will reach the destination for the day which is Jagat.

Day 7: Hike from Jagat to Deng

Deng is beautifully placed at a height of 1840 m and requires 6-7 hours of a regular hike from Jagat to reach Deng. The heart-attracting beautiful villages like Salleri and Siridibas also lie on the same route to Deng.

The routes of farms are quite easy passing through Philim, Ekle Bhatti, and Thangurmu. A village like Nyak near the bamboo forest is very popular for giving lodging services for free. From Gurung village, one can witness the eye-mesmerizing view of Shringi Himal which has an altitude of 7161 m.

Day 8: Hike from Deng to Namrung

Early in the morning from Deng, we begin a casual walk for more than 7 hours until we reach 2670 m elevated Namrung. The trail to reach Namrung is followed by the bank of the Budhi Gandaki river.

Saying hi to various bridges and waterfalls we reach the rhododendron forest which looks pleasantly beautiful during the spring days.

You will be lucky to witness the panoramic views of Shringi Himal and Ganesh Himal in a single frame. Namrung is the checkpoint for many trekkers. We will be ending the day of the hike by staying a night in Namrung.

Day 9: Namrung to Sumagaon

It’s time to send plenty of height for almost 7 hours of the hike until we reach the 3530 m elevated village of Samagaon. To reach Samagaon, one needs to pass by the different beautifully placed villages like Lihi, Sho, and Lho.

You will ultimately reach the Sama Naike peak standing at 6211 m. The view offers beautiful Mt. Manaslu, along with Mt. Larka and Naike. Samagaon is the ultimate destination for the day.

Day 10: Hike through Samagaon to Pungyen Gompa

On your 10th day of the journey to Nepal, you will be walking in the middle of the trek at an altitude of 3500+ meters surrounded by gigantic mountains. It’s time to explore the village to acclimatize yourself at such a high altitude.

You will find a beautiful Buddhist Monastery on the lap of the Himalayas named Pung Gyan Gompa. You will notice the village is covered with Buddhist enchanted carved stones on the way. We will take the the joy of beautiful nature of the hilly, Himalayan, and terrain on the single frame.

Day 11: Samagaon to Samdo

This journey is culturally decorated and filled with Himalayan unique traditions and social practices. Today, we will be reaching Samdo village and spending the night there.

Day 12: Hike from Samdo village to Larke Phedi

The Larkya base camp often called Dharmasala lies at an elevation of 4460 meters requiring a 4-5 hours hike on the Himalayan rocky surface.

We will walk through Syacha Glacier gorge which takes us to Dharmasala. The mesmerizing views of Larkya peak and Naike peak can be observed at Dharmasala. We will stay at the only lodge named Larkya Rest House.

Day 13: Dharmasala to Larkya La

Today we will hike through Larkya La until we reach Bimthang. It almost takes 8-9 hours of regular hiking to reach the destination of the day.

Early in the morning, we begin our hike through the moraines of Larkya Glacier ascending the high hills. After we reach Larkya La Pass, you will realize that all the hard work to reach the Larkya Pass is worth it as you will be witnessing the gigantic silverish panoramic views of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Himlung, Mt. Annapurna II, Larkya Peak, Kang Guru Peak, Ratna Chuli peak and many other snowy hill range. This will be one of the greatest ever achievements for a true nature lover.

After a lifetime of remembering scenery, we descend to Bimthang where we will be staying the night at a local guest house.

Day 14: Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani

After hiking a lot at high altitudes it’s time to descend to Dharapani which stands at 2300 meters from the sea level. Leaving the beauty of the Himalayas we descend to Yak Kharka and pass through the rhododendron forest until we reach the village of Kharche.

Passing through the Gurung village we will be reaching Dharapani where we will spend our night.

Day 15: Hike from Dharapani to Syange

It’s the 15th day in Nepal where you will be descending to Syange from Dharapani taking the time of 6-7 hours of regular hike. As we climb down you will go through the routes passing to Chamje.

Chamje is the starting valley of the Marshyangdi valley from where you can see the Marshyangdi river flowing. After passing the suspension bridge, we climb to Syange which is the overnight destination.

Day 16: Drive from Syange to Kathmandu

It’s the time to say bye-bye to the lifetime remembering trek completing the Manaslu circuit. Saving the uncountable memories in our hearts, we hand up to the Syange. It generally takes more than 8 hours of bus drive to reach Kathmandu. After the long long trek, it’s finally time to have some rest on the bus.

After you reach Kathmandu, we will pick you back to your hotel where you can have some well-deserved rest for the day.

Day 17: Last day at Kathmandu:

It’s your last day before you fly tomorrow morning. You will complete all your fantasies that you dream of doing in Kathmandu from enjoying the Newari food to exploring different places. You may also exceed your visa if you have enough time left for your holiday.
